A personalised confectionery and gift company
was started by Sara Flay, after trialling the business idea from
making items at home for family and friends. Sara produces
personalised and branded confectionery for businesses, individuals
and charities and also creates unusual gifts such as candy
bouquets, unique favours and bespoke hampers. Sara explained:
‘I moved into the centre in February but
quickly outgrew my office and I needed a lot more space. As a new
business, I have also taken advantage of both the Princes Trust
Cymru and the Innov8 scheme and this has helped me turn my hobby
into a real business. I used the grant to create a new website and
produce business cards, flyers and compliment slips all of which
was created by Unfold Design – another business based in the
centre. Basing my company at the centre has helped me keep my
overheads low and with so many other businesses located under one
roof, it provides lots of opportunities to bounce ideas off each
other.’
