David Owen started his joinery business in
September 2009, after spending the previous three years building
guitars in a garage. Realising that the guitar business was not
enough to sustain business expansion, he made the transition from
Luthier to Joiner and needed to find suitable premises to store all
of his new machinery.
‘I looked at several units in the local
area but Sandfields Young Business Centre was by far the
most appealing. It was reasonably priced, the grounds and building
were clean and professional, the parking and access was ideal and
the security was comforting. The managers were excellent, and the
whole process from first enquiry to me moving in was very quick and
easy. The Centre also provided an ideal setting to network with
other businesses. I have since given work to, and received work
from, other businesses located in the centre and I feel that those
early jobs and the support from Innov8 were vital in my business
becoming successful.’
Needing even more space, David has now moved
to the Endeavour Close Industrial Estate where his business
continues to grow.
