From the 1st April 2013 Neath Port Talbot , Swansea and Bridgend Safeguarding Children Boards became the Western Bay Safeguarding Children Board (WBSCB). The regionalisation was in response to the proposed Social Services (Wales) Bill.

SCBs are the key statutory mechanism for agreeing how the relevant organisations in each area will cooperate to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, and for ensuring the effectiveness of what they do.

This website brings together information for children and young people, families/ carers and anyone who works with children. It also provides an overview of the responsibilities, structure and work of the WB SCB.

Here on the WBSCB website there is information for everyone to find out more about making the 3 areas within the Western Bay a safe and happy place for children and young people.
