Sources of Funding

Creating local employment opportunities by encouraging businesses to undertake projects that enable them to grow and create jobs is a key priority for the Business Development Team.

To help us achieve this, we administer and promote a variety of financial incentives to support new start-up businesses and those relocating or expanding within Neath Port Talbot.

Business start up funding is now available through the Council's Innov8 programme.

The Regeneration Team manages the Commercial Property Grant which is aimed at encouraging high standard physical improvements to buildings in commercial areas. The grant can be up to a maximum of 50% of eligible external costs.

Commercial investment can be accessed through The Development Bank of Wales, Xénos - the Wales Business Angel Network and UK Steel Enterprise.
