Joint Strategic Training Group

The principal purpose of Western Bay Safeguarding Boards’ Joint Strategic Training Group (WBSTG) is to promote learning which leads to improved practice in safeguarding. The WBSTG is accountable to both the Western Bay Safeguarding Children Board (WBSCB) and the Western Bay Safeguarding Adults Board (WBSAB) as appropriate and supports them in the requirements placed upon them in assuring the availability of appropriate training and multi ageincy training amongst board partners.

All training in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults at risk should create an ethos which values working collaboratively with others, respects diversity (including culture, race and disability), promotes equality, is person centred and promotes the participation of people in the processes.
