Description

I am a young man in my early twenties and I live in the Pontardawe area.

I love being outdoors and walking in the countryside, I love being in places which are peaceful and out in the open.

I also enjoy going swimming. I love flying kites and playing football and basketball. I am a very fit and active person.

I am generally a happy and cheerful person, however I can get anxious and may become very challenging at times. I am on the autistic spectrum. I take time to get to know people, but once I feel comfortable with someone I really enjoy spending time with them.

I love going for a drive in the car, and I like having a Macdonald’s when out. I also enjoy being made to laugh.

Purpose

Taking me out with my mum to access activities that I enjoy.

Some personal care involved.

Assisting with managing challenging scenarios.

Be able to physically keep up with me when I am out

Person Type

A person who:

Reliable and punctual.

Consistent and patient.

Has some experience of working with challenging behaviour and individuals on the autistic spectrum.

Someone who enjoys physical activity and sports.

Someone who is calm but with positive energy and bubbly without being loud.

Hours

6 hours to be used flexibly throughout the week.

This post may require a DBS check (the cost of which will be met by NPTCBC). If this post requires you to work with children then it is compulsory for you to have a DBS check prior to commencement.

 

If requested by the employer, two satisfactory references must be provided. This post is subject to a trial period of 1 month and a probationary period of up to 6 months.

 

Wages will be paid on a 4 weekly basis once a valid National Insurance (NI) number has been provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement.

 

 You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement as well as all other statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in your contract of employment. You will also be issued with a Personal Assistants Handbook when your employment commences.

 

You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post. The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct payment. Failure to attend mandatory training may result in your employment offer being withdrawn.
